Terms of Service

Last updated: October 16, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GlassBound (the "Service"), operated by GlassBound LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("GlassBound," "we," "us," or "our"), at glassbound.net. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

GlassBound is a DECA exam preparation service. It offers practice questions, practice tests, study plans and, for school chapters, an advisor view of chapter progress. Most practice questions are written with AI and then checked, and they are mapped to DECA Performance Indicators. The Service is in beta and some features, such as roleplay practice, are not available yet.

2. Eligibility and parents

You must be at least 13 years old to use GlassBound. If you are under 18, you may use GlassBound only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Accounts

During the beta, you need an invite code or a chapter link to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your password secure
  • All activity under your account
  • Giving accurate information when you sign up
  • Not sharing your account, and not reselling or transferring invite codes

4. Chapters and advisors

A DECA chapter advisor can share a join link with their students. Students who join ask to be approved by the advisor, and each student can belong to one chapter at a time. The advisor can approve, decline and remove students.

Once approved, the advisor can see the progress information described in the Privacy Policy (section 6): activity counts, when you were last active and your most-missed topics, but never your answers.

If you are an advisor, you confirm that your school or chapter has authorized you to use GlassBound with its students. You agree to use student information only to support those students' DECA preparation, and not to share it outside the school.

5. Access

Accounts are created through a chapter invitation. An account's access comes through its chapter.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Scrape, copy, export or otherwise extract questions, answer keys or rationales, whether by automated means or by hand at scale
  • Share, publish, redistribute or resell GlassBound content
  • Get around usage limits, access controls, or access another person's account
  • Harass other users, or submit bug reports or feedback containing anything unlawful or other people's personal information
  • Damage, disable or overload the Service

We limit how many questions an account can be served in a given period. We may suspend accounts that look like they are copying the question bank.

7. Your content

You keep any rights you have in what you submit, such as bug reports and feature requests. You give us permission to use it to run and improve the Service. Beta testers whose bug reports lead to a fix may be credited by username in our changelog.

Once available, roleplay practice is different: we record your spoken answer only to transcribe and score it, the audio is deleted once scoring finishes, and the transcript is kept on your account to show you your own results. See the Privacy Policy.

8. AI-generated and AI-scored content

Practice questions and rationales are generated with AI and reviewed, but they may contain errors. Once available, roleplay scores will be produced by AI. They are practice feedback, not an official DECA judge's evaluation. GlassBound content is a study aid, not official DECA material. Official DECA and MBA Research materials are the authoritative source.

9. Intellectual property

GlassBound's questions, rationales, study plans and design belong to GlassBound or its licensors. DECA Performance Indicators are the property of MBA Research & Curriculum Center and DECA Inc. GlassBound is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to DECA Inc. or MBA Research. DECA® is a registered trademark of Distributive Education Clubs of America, Inc. Event and cluster names are used only to describe the exams our practice material covers.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that questions match actual DECA exam content, or that using GlassBound will improve your competition results.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GlassBound and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of data or competition outcomes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100 (USD).

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms.

13. Changes

We may change the Service or these Terms. If we change these Terms, we will post the new version here and update the date above. For a material change, we will also make reasonable efforts to let users know. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
